Willow Glen 5K

Dear Willow Glen 5k Participants,

What a great run on Saturday! We hope you had as much fun as we did!

Thank you very much for your participation. All of us -- the runners, walkers, festival participants, sponsors, business owners, volunteers, police, and organizing committee -- contributed to making the inaugural Willow Glen 5k a terrific success. Together, we have created a true Willow Glen community event, helped to promote active and healthy lifestyles within our families, and provided needed financial support to Willow Glen Elementary School. We will all look back on the 2010 version as a landmark event in our community.

The Willow Glen 5k was run entirely by parent volunteers from Willow Glen Elementary School. We are extremely happy with our first year results and have received great feedback from many sources on what went well (a lot), as well as some areas to improve (a few). You can be sure we'll make some improvements in time for the 2nd Annual Willow Glen 5k that promise to make the 2011 version even better (timing chips anyone?) and solidify this event as a "must-do" run for many years to come. We've posted the Men's and Women's division winners on the "Results" page -- for those that missed the award ceremony. Congratulations to all of these runners for setting a blistering pace on our super-fast course!
